The three types of lights are key light, fill light and back light: 1) Key light:   The key light is the primary light  in this setup. Typically placed in front of the subject and slightly to one side, often called the smart side, it's the brightest light in the system and illuminates most of your subject . 2) Fill light:   The fill light is also placed in front of the subject but on the opposite side of the  key light  while setting up a three-point lighting system. Its job is to fill in any shadows that the key lights might create. 3) Back Light:   The third source in this lighting technique, the backlight shines on the subject from behind , completing the light setup.  This creates a rim of light or outline ar...

Done by Aubrey Hunter Preliminary task 1 - Treatment     Aubrey Hunter     16 February 2025      media studies      Preliminary task 1-treatment      A treatment for shadow     Bacon productions   It is proposed that the film will be about 1.30 minutes duration, and will be filmed at City Impact          Church School as this facility provides places such as a class room, hallway and carpark required to film as we are in need of a school setting for our film as there is a tutoring session happening after school as our starting.  This film will include the following conventions of a thriller film  Lighting - lighting will change throughout the film from afternoon to dark, and there will be shadows on the wall as our stalker following the girl so artificial lighting will be used to allow a shadow of a figure on the wall. Sound - minimal amount of dialogue will be us...

Preliminary Task 1: Location

Image
Photos and wording by Josh Miles  Location   Test shots- Hallway This is where our shadow will first appear and where our chase scene will take place. In this picture we can see that there are still school bags and children down the end of the hallway this will be changed in our film as we plan for it to look like every one has gone home. Classroom This will be the setting for our first scene, however the tutoring session will most likely take place at the teachers desk rather than at student tables. Not much of the classroom will be shown in the film however there may be an establishing shot that shows it. Desk This is where our tutoring session will take place. In this picture we can still see a teachers belongings from the school day, this will be removed for filming.
